Can You Remember Who You Were, Before the World Told You Who You Should Be?

Due to a perfectionist filled childhood, my life has been a perpetual state of sprinting down a career path that will make me “successful” then burning out. I’ve done it countless times. I have lived my life for others by doing what is expected of me and by making decisions based on how others might perceive me. I chose my school because it was prestigious, my major because it was the most difficult, and my jobs because they were impressive. I always burned out because my decisions were never what I really wanted.
