For me, school has always been about the grade, not about the learning. Often that meant cram sessions and all-nighters got me a good grade, but I actually learned very little.
Recently, I discovered the beauty of MOOCs (massive open online courses). They are free, there are many, and best of all, there is no grade. You can take as many as you want, and you take what you give to a course. There are classes in everything from songwriting to statistical mechanics available online.
Experience what it feels like to learn just to learn in a subject you are actually interested in. You’ll be surprised at how much you take away from a class without the worry about a perfect grade.
The best place to start is at OpenCulture, where many of the courses from various websites are available in one place. I am currently enrolled in Positive Psychology at Coursera, one of my favorite MOOC websites.
